Madelyn is a locally grown, organic, Arkansan. She is a Postpartum Doula and Placenta Specialist with Riverfront.

Her passion for woman’s reproductive health, birth, and babies began with a few YouTube birth videos watched purely out of curiosity; quickly became an obsession that changed her life forever. “When my friends were watching funny cat videos, I was trying to show them the newest hypnobirth video… They weren’t as impressed as I was”. Be careful what you research on the internet, it may become your next career!

In the fall of 2015, she enrolled in the ProDoula Postpartum Doula training in Columbus, Georgia; eager for more information about her new found passion. Her fiery interest in everything mother, birth, and baby was also fueled by the documentary, The Business of Being Born, followed by Ina May Gaskin’s books, Spiritual Midwifery and Ina May's Guide to Childbirth. Madelyn is a strong advocate for positive, educated, and empowered birth. “Women shouldn’t be burdened by fear during birth, your body knows what it’s doing, your job is to listen and let it do the work.”

She currently attends the American School of Natural Health studying Naturopathic Nutrition with a focus in female fertility nutrition.

Her passion for nutrition ties in well with her love to cook! Her specialties include immune boosting smoothies, tasty salads, Asian stir-fries, homemade bread, Italian pastas, and weekly meal prep! She is also very familiar with gluten free, vegetarian, vegan, and paleo diets.

Madelyn is a single mother of 4 beautiful fur children, Leo, Harry, and Audrey the cats and Clarence the dog!

“Whenever and however you give birth, your experience will impact your emotions, your mind, your body, and your spirit for the rest of your life.” - Ina May Gaskin
