At AFD, our doulas are trained, experienced, dedicated and passionate. They offer you the play-by-play on what to expect during labor, provide and teach manual pain relief techniques, and provide physical and emotional support during your pregnancy, labor and beyond.

Your doula's role is to empower and support you as you discover your own personal birth philosophy and plan for the big day. Your doula will be a professional soundboard for you. They will listen to your needs, help you determine your priorities, share pertinent information, recommend preferred medical providers, and point you to other valuable local resources. They will help you feel confident about your decisions to birth your baby the way that feels right to you.

During the labor and birth of your baby, your doula offers guidance on body positioning, breathing techniques, and other coping mechanisms. Your Arkansas Family Doula will be at your side providing continuous support alongside your medical team until your baby arrives and for about an hour afterwards, to help everyone get settled.

We encourage you to browse through our doulas' profiles to get to know them and their philsophy. If you feel drawn to one in particular or want to learn more, please inquire and we can set up a complimentary in-person consultation.

The service areas for our labor doulas are Greater Little Rock, Benton, Hot Springs, Conway, Russellville, Fort Smith, Bentonville, Rogers, Fayetteville, Jonesboro, and Memphis. We are proud to be welcomed in Baptist Health Little Rock, UAMS, CHI St. Vincent Little Rock and Hot Springs, Springhill Baptist in North Little Rock, Saline Memorial, National Park Medical, Conway Regional Women's Center, Baptist Health in Conway, Saint Mary's Regional, Mercy Hospital in Fort Smith, Washington Regional, White County Medical, White River Health, St. Bernards Hospital, and NEA Baptist.
